‘A Great Day for Civilization’

by Daveda Gruber:

On Thursday became “a great day for civilization” President Trump proclaimed as Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo wrapped up a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara, Turkey.

High-level talks took place at which it was agreed that the Turkish military would pause attacks against a Kurdish militia.

A pause will be in place for 120 hours, or five days, which will give the Kurdish-led forces time to pull back from the roughly 20-mile-wide safe zone on the Turkish-Syrian border.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu” said, We will pause Operation Peace Spring for PKK/YPG to leave the safe zone. This is not a ceasefire – ceasefires can only happen between two legitimate sides.”

Cavusoglu added, “When the terrorist elements completely leave the safe zone, we can stop the operation.”

The operation will come to an end entirely upon the completion of the Kurdish withdrawal. This is all stated in the “deal” which is now in place.

The talks lasted more than five hours of negotiations between Pence and Pompeo with Erdogan and Turkish officials.

Trump tweeted this:

A press conference was held afterwards where Pence and Pompeo discussed the deal.

The terms of a cease-fire were agreed upon by both the U.S. and Turkey  and “committed to defeat ISIS activities in northeast Syria,” the vice president said.

Pence also said, “Turkey and the United States agree on the priority of respecting vulnerable human life, human rights, and particularly the protection of religious and ethnic communities in the region.”

The Kurds have as of yet, have not confirmed if they agree to terms of the deal.

Pence went on to say, “We think the agreement today first ends the violence, which is what President Trump sent us here to do.. We achieved that.”

The Turkish military operation was not approved by the U.S. but sanctions against Turkey will be lifted by the U.S. when the agreement has been completed.

People keep referring to the Kurds as an ally of the U.S. but are not. They were a NATO ally. The Kurds did fight side by side with American military forces in the fight against ISIS.

The Kurdish–Turkish conflict is an armed conflict between the Republic of Turkey and various Kurdish insurgent groups, which have demanded separation from Turkey to create an independent Kurdistan, or to have autonomy and greater political and cultural rights for Kurds inside the Republic of Turkey.

The Kurds are the fourth-largest ethnic group in the Middle East. Despite their numbers, they are a stateless and often marginalized people whose homeland stretches across Turkey, Iraq, Syria, Iran and Armenia.

Who Had the Meltdown?

by Daveda Gruber:

Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., on Wednesday accused President Trump of having a “meltdown” as Pelosi accused Trump of having the “meltdown” as the Speaker stormed out of the Syria meeting in the White House.

Tensions have been growing between Pelosi and Trump and it appears that those who witnessed the explosive behavior unfold are wondering if Trump and Pelosi have reached a point of no return in their relationship.

After Pelosi stormed out of the meeting along with a couple of her Democratic cohorts, Pelosi, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer held an spontaneous news conference outside the White House.

The threesome told reporters that they walked out of the meeting on Syria policy after Trump allegedly called Pelosi either a “third-rate politician” or “third-grade politician.” They added that Trump was angry and suggested the Democrats probably appreciated communist Islamic State terrorists in the Middle East.

Pelosi said, “What we witnessed on the part of the president was a meltdown, sad to say.”

The Speaker later added , “I pray for the president all the time, and I tell him that ˗˗ I pray for his safety and that of his family. Now, we have to pray for his health ˗˗ because this was a very serious meltdown on the part of the president.”

It is alleged by a top Democrat that Trump began the meeting by making a remark that “someone wanted this meeting so I agreed to it.”

Trump allegedly then said, “I hate ISIS more than you do.”

Pelosi allegedly responded, “You don’t know that.”

Trump allegedly then said, “President Obama drew a red line in the sand [in Syria].  In my opinion, you are a third-grade politician.”

Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., later told reporters he heard Trump use the term “third-rate politician.”

After those remarks, it is alleged that the Democrats walked out of the meeting and Trump had a final comment and said, “I’ll see you at the polls.”

After the meeting came to a close, Trump tweeted:

Is Shifty Schiff Getting the Shaft from House Republicans?

by Daveda Gruber:

Adam Schiff, D-Calif., a strong opponent of President Trump, has made some Republicans angry enough to motion to censure the House Intelligence Committee Chairman.

Republican lawmakers are reacting to Schiff’s deliberate lie in what he called a “parody” reading of the July phone call between President Trump and President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine.

It has been reported that 125 lawmakers have now signed on with Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Az., as co-sponsors.

Biggs chairs the conservative House Freedom Caucus and first introduced the resolution late last month. has the support of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., and House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., who are among other ranking Republicans in the lower chamber of Congress.

Schiff has become a target of many and has earned himself the nickname “Shifty Schiff” from his role in the Trump impeachment inquiry.

Schiff was shown on live TV reading from a document, which was anticipated to be a transcript of the unclassified actual call between the two leaders, during the hearing of testimony from Acting Director of National Intelligence, Joseph Maguire.

The memo does not reflect a “verbatim transcript” but is based on “notes and recollections” of those memorializing the call between Trump and Zelensky.

Schiff’s self proclaimed “parody” reads, “I have a favor I want from you. And I’m going to say this only seven times, so you better listen good. I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent, understand? Lots of it, on this and on that.”

Schiff claimed that he was, in fact, reading a “parody” of the July phone call.

Although Democrats have the majority of House members and control the floor, Republicans can still force a vote on the resolution.

Here’s a tweet from Schiff that includes tweets from Trump:

Who’s Upset with Shifty Schiff?

by Daveda Gruber:

Republicans on Capitol Hill are becoming more vocal in their support of President Trump.

Lawmakers who are aligned with the president are complaining that the House Intelligence Committee Chairman, Adam Schiff, D-Calif., is not handling the impeachment inquiry the way it should be done.

Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, gave Schiff some harsh criticism for excluding some congressional Republicans from the hearings where testimony is being given. He also made reference to leaks that came out that were “cherry-picked” from the closed-door hearings and leaked to the press.

Jordan, in speaking about testimony from Fiona Hill, a former deputy assistant to the president said, “She was going to come voluntarily but he’s going to subpoena her I believe so he can ask certain questions and again keep those secret except for the certain things that he wants to leak, the cherry-picked information to the American people.”

Lee Wolosky, Hill’s attorney, tweeted on Monday that the former deputy assistant to the president had received a congressional subpoena.

On Monday, Wolosky tweeted this:

Jordan said, “The tragedy here and the crime here is that the American people don’t get to see what’s going on in these up in these sessions.”

Jordan is joined by Matt Gaerz in his support of Trump.

Jordan tweeted:

It appears that Trump’s hand-picked ambassador to the European Union, Gordon Sondland, will testify on Thursday.

Sondland will be questioned on a collection of text messages from top envoys that provide a dramatic account of their work while acting as intermediaries around the time Trump spoke to Ukraine’s newly elected president, Volodymr Zelenskiy, on the now famous transcript of the July 25th call that President Trump released to start investigations into a company linked to the family of Democratic presidential runner, former Vice President Joe Biden.

There are expectations that came from the so called “whistleblower” that Sondland might tell lawmakers that he understood that the administration was offering Zelenskiy a White House visit in exchange for a public statement committing to investigations that Trump wanted.

Songland will likely say that he did not know the company being talked about for an investigation was Burisma.

Burisima was allegedly tied to Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden. Sondland apparently understood the discussions about combating corruption to be part of a much broader and publicized Trump administration wish. This is a part of what the “whistleblower” letter had said.

The still anonymous “whistleblower’s” identity is still a concern to Democratic lawmakers who are hell-bent on protecting the person from Trump’s threats over the matter.
On Sunday, Schiff said, “We don’t need the whistleblower, who wasn’t on the call, to tell us what took place during the call. We have the best evidence of that.”

Schiff continued that it “may not be necessary” to reveal the whistleblower’s identity as the House gathers evidence.

Schiff went on to say, “Our primary interest right now is making sure that person is protected.”

What say you? Are you convinced that Trump could possibly harm this anonymous person?

I say NO! The president should be able to confront his accuser.

This is a Kangaroo Court that is headed by Shifty Schiff and his pals in Congress.

Matt Gaetz Kicked Out of Impeachment Inquiry Hearing

by Daveda Gruber:

On Monday a strong supporter of President Trump, Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., tried to sit in on testimony from a former top National Security Council expert on Russia.

Fiona Hill, a former deputy assistant to the president, was testifying on Capitol Hill as a part of the House impeachment inquiry into the president and Gaetz wanted to be able to listen to what was being asked and what answers were given.

Gaetz was told that because he was not a member of the House Intelligence Committee that he had to leave.

The House Intelligence Committee Chairman is Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and he appears to be making up his own rules as he goes and then allegedly leaking selected talking points that suit his agenda.

Remember that House Intelligence, Oversight and Foreign Affairs committees are conducting the impeachment inquiry into Trump which, by the way, was never voted on.

Gaetz sits on the House Judiciary Committee and Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., was involved in the impeachment inquiry so why was Gaetz not allowed to listen?

Gaetz stopped to speak to reporters after he was told to leave the hearing in question. He was disturbed to say the least. He said to reporters, “It’s not like I’m on agriculture. What are the Democrats so afraid of?”

He later tweeted this:

Will Ukraine Whistleblower Testify in Writing?

by Daveda Gruber:

The whistleblower who is at the center of the Democratic impeachment inquiry  would like to testify in writing and skip any testimony in person.

Congress hasn’t responded to the whistleblower who claims that he or she has information on the phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Lawyers for  the anonymous whistleblower, who is allegedly a CIA officer, have asked lawmakers if their client can submit testimony in writing.

Congress has not yet answered the request but they are dead set to protect the identity of the whistleblower.

The safety and media scrutiny over the whistleblower’s identity is a concern of the Democrats.

Both the president and Republicans alike believe that Trump should have an opportunity to confront his accuser.

Reports have come out that the whistleblower could have partisan motives. It has been acknowledged by attorneys for the whistleblower. Anti-Trump attorney, Mark Zaid said that he/she is a registered Democrat and has worked with 2020 Democratic contender Joe Biden. Zaid added that his client had “contact” with current presidential contenders “from both parties.”

The attorneys said, “The whistleblower is not the story. To date, virtually every substantive allegation has been confirmed by other sources. For that reason the identity of the whistleblower is irrelevant.”

The impeachment inquiry was launched after the whistleblower filed a complaint in the summer about Trump asking for Ukraine to investigate the former vice president and his son, Hunter’s business dealings in Ukraine.

In recent activity on Twitter, Trump has asked, “why aren’t we entitled to interview & learn everything about the Whistleblower, and also the person who gave all of the false information to him.”

It has not yet been confirmed if lawmakers will hold a forum with the whistleblower in someplace other than the U.S. Capitol complex.

A secure facility exists on Capitol Hill. Also, various quarters of government could hold the hearing. Facilities ranging from the Department of Justice to the intelligence community are available.

All options are up for grabs.

Ambassador Blocked from Testifying in “Kangaroo Court”

by Daveda Gruber:

Tensions are likely to rise between House Democrats and the Trump administration as the White House has ordered the U.S. ambassador to the European Union not to appear at a deposition on the Ukraine controversy.

The deposition of Gordon Sondland, who is a wealthy hotel owner, philanthropist and contributor to political campaigns, was planned for Tuesday. Songland had agreed to appear voluntarily for a closed session

The Democrats have allegedly indicated that they will approach the matter as an obstruction of its investigation into the controversy surrounding  President Trump’s phone call on the twenty-fifth of July with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Robert Luskin, who is an attorney for Songland, said that the order came from the State Department. Songland is required to follow the direction of the department.

Luskin, in a statement said that Songland “is profoundly disappointed that he will not be able to testify.”

The statement says, “Ambassador Sondland hopes that the issues raised by the State Department that preclude his testimony will be resolved promptly.  He stands ready to testify on short notice, whenever he is permitted to appear.”

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., allegedly plans to draft a subpoena which would make it easier to try to secure Songland’s testimony later in the day.

Songland’s testimony is warranted by Democrats because he had texted with a top U.S. diplomat, Bill Taylor, over allegations of a quid pro quo.

Taylor wrote, “Are we now saying that security assistance and WH meeting are conditioned on investigations?”

In his follow-up text he wrote, “As I said over the phone, I think it’s crazy to withhold security assistance for help with a political campaign.”

Sondland responded to the texts by defending the president and writing, “Bill, I believe you are incorrect about President Trump’s intentions. The President has been crystal clear: no quid pro quo’s of any kind. The President is trying to evaluate whether Ukraine is truly going to adopt the transparency and reforms that President Zelensky promised during his campaign.”

The phone call between Trump and Zelensky referred to is part of the whistleblower complaint which states that Trump urged Zelensky to look into possible interference by Ukraine in the 2016 election and former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden’s conduct in that country.

Democrats are claiming that Trump used $400 million in military aid as leverage in a quid pro quo in exchange for the Ukrainians to investigate a political opponent. The Democrats have opened an impeachment inquiry over the said phone call.

Subpoenas to top administration and White House officials have already been sent to the Pentagon and the White House Office of Management and Budget for documents that relate to reports that Trump had ordered then-acting OMB Chief Mick Mulvaney to freeze aid to Ukraine.

Trump adamantly denies all of the claims made by Democratic lawmakers.

Trump tweeted:

McCarthy Calls on Pelosi to End Impeachment Inquiry

by Daveda Gruber:

On Thursday House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy R-Calif., sent a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi calling on her to suspend the impeachment inquiry into President Trump.

Citing the need for “transparent and equitable rules and procedures” to be established, McCarthy criticized Pelosi about the “swiftness and recklessness” which House committee chairs have proceeded with the impeachment inquiry.

McCarthy also brought up the need for Republican participation in the proceedings.

McCarthy said in his letter, “Unfortunately, you have given no clear indication as to how your impeachment inquiry will proceed – including whether key historical precedents or basic standards of due process will be observed. In addition, the swiftness and recklessness with which you have proceeded has already resulted in committee chairs attempting to limit minority participation in scheduled interviews, calling into question the integrity of such an inquiry.”

The Minority leader took to Twitter and tweeted:

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., was alleged to have been leaning to limiting Republicans’ ability to ask questions during Thursday’s testimony by former U.S. envoy for Ukraine Kurt Volker.

Quite a few questions were posed to Pelosi by McCarthy in the letter. He asks Pelosi if she has plans to hold a full House vote on authorizing the impeachment inquiry.

McCarthy, in the letter, also asks the speaker whether or not she plans to grant subpoena powers to both the committee chairs and the ranking members. It also asks Pelosi whether she’ll allow trump’s lawyers to attend the hearings.

Generally, it appears that McCarthy was asking Pelosi for a fair shake in the questioning of former American diplomat Kurt Volker.

There are representatives from the Intelligence, Oversight and Foreign Affairs Committees, but only the Intelligence Committee can ask questions.

Republicans who have been in the closed door session are already commenting.

Jim Jordan R-OH., came out of the non-televised session during a break and spoke to reporters.

Here is what he had to say:

According to Jordan, Volker, who resigned from his post as the U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine until his resignation on September 27, 2019, voluntarily answered questions and gave responses that were not to the detriment of the president.

This impeachment investigation started over a phone call in which Trump allegedly asked Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden’s family’s dealings in the Ukraine.

It is alleged that Trump threatened to withhold $400 million in military aid unless the Ukraine investigated Biden and his son Hunter Biden’s dealing with that country.

Bernie Sanders Hospitalized for Heart Procedure

by Daveda Gruber:

One of the Democratic presidential contenders, Senator Bernie Sanders, D-VT., won’t be campaigning for a few days.

On Wednesday Sanders’ campaign announced that the Senator had emergency surgery on Tuesday to repair a blocked artery with a stent procedure.

The Sanders campaign said that doctors have “successfully inserted” two stents, and that Sanders is now “conversing and in good spirits.”

Sanders is taking a few days off to rest and will miss a gun policy forum in Nevada that was scheduled for Wednesday.

The Sanders’ campaign released a statement that read, “We are canceling his events and appearances until further notice, and we will continue to provide appropriate updates.”

While in Nevada, Sanders experienced chest discomfort and was taken to hospital. While receiving a medical evaluation, it was discovered that Sanders had a blocked artery.

Sanders is the oldest Democratic candidate at 78 years old.

Besides this latest bout with his health, Sanders had to cancel a few appearances in South Carolina after he lost his voice. He also had seven stitches in March after cutting his head on a glass shower door.

I guess he found his voice and now can speak while he heals in the hospital.

Does What Happened in Las Vegas Stay in Las Vegas?

by Daveda Gruber:

Since this is the anniversary of the mass shooting in Las Vegas in 2017, let’s take a look at what could have been underlying motives or involvement to some degree, by people who are not the players who are known to us.

A lot of rumors started to fly when Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal was arrested in King Salman’s anti-corruption crackdown.

Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal who, together with Bill Gates, owns the Four Seasons Hotel that is located within the 5 top floors of the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas.

That is the same Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas that was the site of the deadliest mass shooting in our nation’s history.

On the night of October 1, 2017, a lone gunman, Stephen Paddock, opened fire on a crowd of concertgoers at the Route 91 Harvest music festival on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada. He killed 58 people and wounded 422, with the ensuing panic bringing the injury total to 851.

Paddock shot himself and died from his wounds in the hotel room where he had fired shots from the windows.

Here is a video of the moment police entered the Las Vegas gunman’s room:

The Four Seasons Hotel-within-a-hotel boasts its own private elevators and separate entrance.

So, who had access to the 32nd floor? Who has access now? Let’s dig deeper.

Prince Alaweed’s arrest was the result of King Salman’s decree to create an anti-corruption committee chaired by his son, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Getting confused yet?

The allegations against Prince Alwaleed include money laundering, bribery and extorting officials. Prince Miteb is accused of embezzlement, hiring ghost employees and awarding contracts to his own companies including a $10 billion deal for walkie talkies and bulletproof military gear worth billions of Saudi royals.

Prince Alaweed bin Talal is also Twitter’s second largest shareholder. Twitter allows ISIS, Antifa and anyone who threatens to assassinate our President free reign on their platform but blocks conservative American patriots’ accounts.

The Prince’s investment company, Kingdom  Holding Company, is a major shareholder in Time Warner Cable that owns CNN. They also own a major chunk of  AOL that owns the Liberal multi-author blogging platform posing as a news source-Huffpost.

Jim Murren, CEO of MGM dumped millions of dollars worth of his stocks in the weeks leading up to the massacre. The same MGM that owns the Mandalay Bay Hotel.

CEO Jim Murren circulated an internal memo that stated that he would match donations to CAIR which is a terrorist organization and the ADL a very anti-Trump, pro-Islamic organization.

Back in ’07 Dubai World became partners with MGM. So Las Vegas has ties to Saudi money, that much we know.

Dubai World, the investment holding firm of the Dubai government, will acquire a 9.5 percent stake in MGM Mirage and 50 percent of the casino operator’s CityCenter development project for $5 billion. Follow the money trail?

Dubai World referred to the deal as a “long term strategic partnership.” The money trail get more important.

Also caught up in King Salman’s sweep was the Commander of the Saudi Navy as well as the Minister of the National Guards. No mention yet of the Royal Saudi Air Force. This is a real cleaning up of any mess.

It is not known  if investigation into the criminal activities of Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal will expose any involvement in the Las Vegas shooting but there is a video that shows a man, said to be Alwaleed bin Talal and another that could be Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, dressed as a regular gamblers. This is said to be commonplace and is done regularly. It is alleged that Alwaleed bin Talal was gambling at the Tropicana Casino. Both princes like to blend in and gamble.

This is a video taken from inside the Tropicana that shows a swat team entering and possibly escorting one or two men out of the building:

Who was alerted to the shooting? Was the shooting a diversion to the possibility that Alwaleed bin Talal or Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman could be assassinated? The facts are all too muffled to know. At this point there are too many unanswered questions for anything but speculation.

It’s too early to tell if King Salman, who President Trump has promoted a friendly relationship with, will share such potentially embarrassing knowledge should it be discovered.

Did President Trump’s speech before the Arab Islamic American Summit last May, urging Saudis and other middle eastern nations to drive out terrorists, inspire King Salman to clean the Royal House?

Salman has commented on Islam during a rare public foray at a high-level business and finance conference in Riyadh, underlining the fact that widespread economic changes are going hand-in-hand with sweeping social ones.

He said on Oct. 24, 2017 before some 3,500 delegates from around the world, “We are returning to what we were before, a country of moderate Islam that is open to all religions and to the world. We will not spend the next 30 years of our lives dealing with destructive ideas. We will destroy them today.”

In the mean time, does what happens in Las Vegas actually stay in Las Vegas? Not when there are videos.
