Border Patrol Wives Invite Pelosi for a Visit

by: Daveda Gruber:

There is a group of women from Texas who believe that a wall or barrier would be a good thing for Border Patrol agents. Their husbands understand the urgency for a barrier because they defend our border between the U.S. and Mexico.

One wife of a Border Patrol agent has invited House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to come to Texas to see for herself how much the southern border is in desperate need of a barrier.

Jill Demanski wrote in the letter posted on Facebook on Thursday:

The letter went viral for good reason.

FOX News had an article that contains a statement from Demaski that reads:

“I felt it’s really important to have our leaders come here and see what’s happening first. It’s important to meet with the people who are here on a daily basis, that are witnessing it – the effects of it, that it has on our country,” Demaski said on “Fox & Friends” on Monday. “We want them to come here and make an informed decision and to see what’s really going on.”

Demaski said if Pelosi sees the letter and agrees to visit, she hopes the California Democrat will do a ride-along with border agents to see the day-to-day experiences of those on the front lines of the border issue.

“Border patrol and our agents and experts here have been asking for [the wall] for years,” she said. “Now we have a president who has come here and seen first-hand the need and has had our backs.”

Renea Perez is also a wife of a Border Patrol agent. She said, that while the women feel safe in Rio Grande Valley, the men and women who patrol the southern border could still use some help in high-traffic areas.

The women are inviting Pelosi to visit Texas and see for herself what is going on every day.

The invitation to Pelosi does not stand alone. Ranchers in the area are inviting her, as well.

From Breitbart:

So far, the invitation has not been taken up by Pelosi.

On Sunday President Trump tweeted a rather interesting video on the border crisis:

The border crisis is real. There are no made up facts. President Trump knows what he is doing; trust me.

The World Takes Sides on Venezuelan Crisis

by: Daveda Gruber:

There is a political crisis going on in the socialist country of Venezuela.  American diplomats had been told to leave the country but all that changed.

Washington officials asked the world to choose what side they were on this past weekend.

Socialist President Nicolas Maduro broke off relations with the United States on Wednesday.

Along with other countries, the U.S. has taken sides with the opposition leader, 35 year old Juan Guaido.

Guaido is now Venezuela’s interim president even though Maduro called his claiming power an attempted coup.

The Trump administration has recognized Guaido’s position.

Check out this video:

Reuters reported that on Saturday, Venezuelan Colonel Jose Luis Silva publicly broke with Maduro in a video recorded at the country’s embassy in Washington.

Silva said, “Today I speak to the people of Venezuela, and especially to my brothers in the armed forces of the nation, to recognize President Juan Guaido as the only legitimate president.”
According to Reuters Maduro has rejected calls for a new election. Things changed on Sunday.

Maduro said he was open to dialogue and that meeting with President Trump was “not impossible.”

A source familiar with the Trump administration’s thinking on Venezuela told Fox News that the White House is encouraged by the fact that Venezuela’s Defense Attache in Washington has publicly turned against Maduro and thrown his support behind opposition leader Guaido.

The Trump administration said it wouldn’t obey when Maduro gave U.S. diplomats three days to leave the country. They are adamant that Maduro is no longer the country’s legitimate president.

Late on Saturday, the Foreign Ministry issued a statement.

The statement read that Maduro’s government was suspending the ejection. The suspension is said to provide a 30 day window for negotiations with the U.S. and setting up a “U.S. interests office” in Venezuela.

This would also include a similar Venezuelan office in the United States.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was not onboard with Maduro’s “illegitimate mafia state.”

Pompeo said, “We’re here to urge all nations to support the democratic aspirations of Venezuelan people as they try to free themselves from former President Maduro’s illegitimate mafia state.”

Earlier, France, Germany, Britain and Spain set an eight-day deadline for calling elections for recognizing Guaido’s leadership.

On Sunday Israel joined the U.S., Canada and several other Latin American countries when they announced that it would recognize Guaido as the de facto president of Venezuela.

Socialism does not work. It has been proven, time after time, that capitalism works. Ask any conservative American.

The sad thing is though, the Democratic Party has turned to support socialist ideals.

Seventy percent taxation and free healthcare to Americans and illegal immigrants does not spell  capitalism. Unfortunately, some people have not learned from the past nor from what is happening now in Venezuela.

Wake up people. Socialism leads to dictatorships and communism.

Roger Stone Speaks Out After Arrest

by: Daveda Gruber:

On Friday Roger Stone was arrested in the wee hours of the morning. Stone was awakened in his Florida home by a slew of FBI SWAT team. CNN just happened to be there to film the arrest.

The SWAT team, with helmets on and with guns drawn, banged on Stone’s door and demanded that he come outside. They barraged into Stone’s home in Fort Lauderdale. Stone was asleep but woke up and went to the door in his pajamas.

President Trump had this to say:

Stone, aged 66, was taken into custody after being indicted by a federal grand jury yesterday as part of Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling and potential collusion with Trump campaign associates during the 2016 presidential election.

During a press conference Stone said that his wife and dogs were frightened by the flashing lights and manner in which he was taken into custody.

For months, Stone has warned that he could be indicted. He has repeatedly denied the accusation that he actually had advance knowledge of WikiLeaks releasing hacked emails of Democrats during the 2016 campaign.

Stone spoke with reporters as he left the court. Stone said, “I will plead not guilty to these charges. I will defeat them in court. This is a politically-motivated investigation.”

Stone adamantly proclaimed that he will not dish dirt on the president to prosecutors.

Stone said, “There is no circumstance whatsoever under which I will bear false witness against the president, nor will I make up lies to ease the pressure on myself.”

The sealed indictment was unsealed on Friday. It does not charge Stone with conspiring with WikiLeaks or with the Russian officers Mueller says hacked them.

WikiLeaks is the anti-secrecy website that published emails about the Clinton campaign in 2016. or with the Russian officers Mueller says hacked them. with guns banging on Stone’s door and demanding that he come outside.

The indictment accuses Stone of lying about his interactions related to the WikiLeaks’ release during probes by Congress and Mueller’s team.

The indictment does raise questions about the hacked emails.

Stone is a former Trump adviser. He advised Trump for years but left the Trump campaign in August 2015. He served as an adviser to Trump for years before he ran for president. He left Trump’s campaign but kept regular contact with and publicly supported the Trump campaign through the 2016 election.

The indictment states that during the summer of 2016, Stone spoke to senior Trump campaign officials about WikiLeaks and information it might have had that would be damaging to Democrat Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

The indictment says that Stone was contacted by senior Trump campaign officials to inquire about future releases. It also says Stone continued to communicate with members of the Trump campaign about WikiLeaks.

On Friday a lawyer for Trump, Jay Sekulow, said, “The indictment today does not allege Russian collusion by Roger Stone or anyone else. Rather, the indictment focuses on alleged false statements Mr. Stone made to Congress.”

The indictment, which is 24 pages, alleges that Stone worked to obstruct the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Mueller’s team alleges Stone made false statements to the committee and denied he had records that were sought by the committee and persuaded a witness to provide false testimony.

Mueller’s investigation has gone on for more than a year and half but no collusion has be uncovered.
