McCarthy Calls on Pelosi to End Impeachment Inquiry

by Daveda Gruber:

On Thursday House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy R-Calif., sent a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi calling on her to suspend the impeachment inquiry into President Trump.

Citing the need for “transparent and equitable rules and procedures” to be established, McCarthy criticized Pelosi about the “swiftness and recklessness” which House committee chairs have proceeded with the impeachment inquiry.

McCarthy also brought up the need for Republican participation in the proceedings.

McCarthy said in his letter, “Unfortunately, you have given no clear indication as to how your impeachment inquiry will proceed – including whether key historical precedents or basic standards of due process will be observed. In addition, the swiftness and recklessness with which you have proceeded has already resulted in committee chairs attempting to limit minority participation in scheduled interviews, calling into question the integrity of such an inquiry.”

The Minority leader took to Twitter and tweeted:

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., was alleged to have been leaning to limiting Republicans’ ability to ask questions during Thursday’s testimony by former U.S. envoy for Ukraine Kurt Volker.

Quite a few questions were posed to Pelosi by McCarthy in the letter. He asks Pelosi if she has plans to hold a full House vote on authorizing the impeachment inquiry.

McCarthy, in the letter, also asks the speaker whether or not she plans to grant subpoena powers to both the committee chairs and the ranking members. It also asks Pelosi whether she’ll allow trump’s lawyers to attend the hearings.

Generally, it appears that McCarthy was asking Pelosi for a fair shake in the questioning of former American diplomat Kurt Volker.

There are representatives from the Intelligence, Oversight and Foreign Affairs Committees, but only the Intelligence Committee can ask questions.

Republicans who have been in the closed door session are already commenting.

Jim Jordan R-OH., came out of the non-televised session during a break and spoke to reporters.

Here is what he had to say:

According to Jordan, Volker, who resigned from his post as the U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine until his resignation on September 27, 2019, voluntarily answered questions and gave responses that were not to the detriment of the president.

This impeachment investigation started over a phone call in which Trump allegedly asked Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden’s family’s dealings in the Ukraine.

It is alleged that Trump threatened to withhold $400 million in military aid unless the Ukraine investigated Biden and his son Hunter Biden’s dealing with that country.

Bernie Sanders Hospitalized for Heart Procedure

by Daveda Gruber:

One of the Democratic presidential contenders, Senator Bernie Sanders, D-VT., won’t be campaigning for a few days.

On Wednesday Sanders’ campaign announced that the Senator had emergency surgery on Tuesday to repair a blocked artery with a stent procedure.

The Sanders campaign said that doctors have “successfully inserted” two stents, and that Sanders is now “conversing and in good spirits.”

Sanders is taking a few days off to rest and will miss a gun policy forum in Nevada that was scheduled for Wednesday.

The Sanders’ campaign released a statement that read, “We are canceling his events and appearances until further notice, and we will continue to provide appropriate updates.”

While in Nevada, Sanders experienced chest discomfort and was taken to hospital. While receiving a medical evaluation, it was discovered that Sanders had a blocked artery.

Sanders is the oldest Democratic candidate at 78 years old.

Besides this latest bout with his health, Sanders had to cancel a few appearances in South Carolina after he lost his voice. He also had seven stitches in March after cutting his head on a glass shower door.

I guess he found his voice and now can speak while he heals in the hospital.

Does What Happened in Las Vegas Stay in Las Vegas?

by Daveda Gruber:

Since this is the anniversary of the mass shooting in Las Vegas in 2017, let’s take a look at what could have been underlying motives or involvement to some degree, by people who are not the players who are known to us.

A lot of rumors started to fly when Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal was arrested in King Salman’s anti-corruption crackdown.

Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal who, together with Bill Gates, owns the Four Seasons Hotel that is located within the 5 top floors of the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas.

That is the same Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas that was the site of the deadliest mass shooting in our nation’s history.

On the night of October 1, 2017, a lone gunman, Stephen Paddock, opened fire on a crowd of concertgoers at the Route 91 Harvest music festival on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada. He killed 58 people and wounded 422, with the ensuing panic bringing the injury total to 851.

Paddock shot himself and died from his wounds in the hotel room where he had fired shots from the windows.

Here is a video of the moment police entered the Las Vegas gunman’s room:

The Four Seasons Hotel-within-a-hotel boasts its own private elevators and separate entrance.

So, who had access to the 32nd floor? Who has access now? Let’s dig deeper.

Prince Alaweed’s arrest was the result of King Salman’s decree to create an anti-corruption committee chaired by his son, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Getting confused yet?

The allegations against Prince Alwaleed include money laundering, bribery and extorting officials. Prince Miteb is accused of embezzlement, hiring ghost employees and awarding contracts to his own companies including a $10 billion deal for walkie talkies and bulletproof military gear worth billions of Saudi royals.

Prince Alaweed bin Talal is also Twitter’s second largest shareholder. Twitter allows ISIS, Antifa and anyone who threatens to assassinate our President free reign on their platform but blocks conservative American patriots’ accounts.

The Prince’s investment company, Kingdom  Holding Company, is a major shareholder in Time Warner Cable that owns CNN. They also own a major chunk of  AOL that owns the Liberal multi-author blogging platform posing as a news source-Huffpost.

Jim Murren, CEO of MGM dumped millions of dollars worth of his stocks in the weeks leading up to the massacre. The same MGM that owns the Mandalay Bay Hotel.

CEO Jim Murren circulated an internal memo that stated that he would match donations to CAIR which is a terrorist organization and the ADL a very anti-Trump, pro-Islamic organization.

Back in ’07 Dubai World became partners with MGM. So Las Vegas has ties to Saudi money, that much we know.

Dubai World, the investment holding firm of the Dubai government, will acquire a 9.5 percent stake in MGM Mirage and 50 percent of the casino operator’s CityCenter development project for $5 billion. Follow the money trail?

Dubai World referred to the deal as a “long term strategic partnership.” The money trail get more important.

Also caught up in King Salman’s sweep was the Commander of the Saudi Navy as well as the Minister of the National Guards. No mention yet of the Royal Saudi Air Force. This is a real cleaning up of any mess.

It is not known  if investigation into the criminal activities of Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal will expose any involvement in the Las Vegas shooting but there is a video that shows a man, said to be Alwaleed bin Talal and another that could be Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, dressed as a regular gamblers. This is said to be commonplace and is done regularly. It is alleged that Alwaleed bin Talal was gambling at the Tropicana Casino. Both princes like to blend in and gamble.

This is a video taken from inside the Tropicana that shows a swat team entering and possibly escorting one or two men out of the building:

Who was alerted to the shooting? Was the shooting a diversion to the possibility that Alwaleed bin Talal or Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman could be assassinated? The facts are all too muffled to know. At this point there are too many unanswered questions for anything but speculation.

It’s too early to tell if King Salman, who President Trump has promoted a friendly relationship with, will share such potentially embarrassing knowledge should it be discovered.

Did President Trump’s speech before the Arab Islamic American Summit last May, urging Saudis and other middle eastern nations to drive out terrorists, inspire King Salman to clean the Royal House?

Salman has commented on Islam during a rare public foray at a high-level business and finance conference in Riyadh, underlining the fact that widespread economic changes are going hand-in-hand with sweeping social ones.

He said on Oct. 24, 2017 before some 3,500 delegates from around the world, “We are returning to what we were before, a country of moderate Islam that is open to all religions and to the world. We will not spend the next 30 years of our lives dealing with destructive ideas. We will destroy them today.”

In the mean time, does what happens in Las Vegas actually stay in Las Vegas? Not when there are videos.

Schiff: Whistleblower to Speak before Congress

by Daveda Gruber:

On Sunday House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., announced that an agreement had been reached with the House and the whistleblower who filed a complaint about President Trump in regard to the July phone call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Schiff was a guest on ABC’s “This Week” and explained that the agreement with the whistleblower and his or her lawyers has been settled.  He also made it clear that the identity of the whistleblower would be protected.

Schiff said, “As with [acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph] Mcguire, that whistleblower will be allowed to come in without White House or DOJ lawyers to tell him or her what they can or can’t say.”

Schiff also added, “We are taking all the precautions we can to protect the whistleblower’s identity. With President Trump’s threats, you can imagine the security concerns here.”

Schiff’s concern with the anonymity of the whistleblower comes after Trump allegedly threatened “the person” who he said gave information to the whistleblower when he spoke with staff from the U.S. mission to the United Nations at a private event in New York.

The whistleblower remains unnamed at this point but much is on the table regarding the testimony to be given before Congress.

Republications will have to pick a side because the impeachment of a president is no small matter.

Trump will also have pressure on himself to rebut the core contentions of the aforementioned phone call.

In an audio posted by The Los Angeles Times Trump said, “Who’s the person who gave the whistleblower the information? Because that’s close to a spy. You know what we used to do in the old days when we were smart? Right? The spies and treason, we used to handle it a little differently than we do now.”

On Sunday Schiff was on NBC’s “Meet The Press.” On that show Schiff said that the president’s behavior was so “egregious” that House lawmakers were forced to open an impeachment inquiry relating to his call with the Ukrainian leader.

Schiff said, “The gravamen of the offense here is the president using the power of his office to coerce a foreign nation into helping his presidential campaign to once again interfere in our election, and at the same time withholding foreign aid that country so desperately needs to fight off who? The Russians.”

He also added, “The situation demands that we move forward with the inquiry.”

The Democrats, if not all of them, then at least the progressive ones want to impeach President Trump and have given the rest of their party no alternative but to initiate an inquiry into impeachment. The fact that no vote to do so was implemented doesn’t seem to bother lawmakers.

Folks, I don’t know about you but, I read the readout of the phone call in question. From the information given, at this point, it appears that former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, have a lot more to worry about than Trump.

I’ve always said that the wheels of justice move very slowly but I’ve never waited this long to see justice being served. After all, there is a video which shows that the elder Biden used quid pro quo in getting the top Ukrainian prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, fired.

Biden allegedly wanted the prosecutor ousted to protect his son, Hunter, from being investigated. That fact is adamantly denied by Biden.

The Ukraine’s largest private gas company, Burisma, hired the younger Biden and paid him up to $50,000 a month.

Stayed tuned folks, corruption is abundant in government but the end result of that finding doesn’t necessarily tell the whole story.

Is your popcorn ready? Mine is.

Want to Read the Transcript of the Call Trump Made to Ukraine?

by Daveda Gruber:

What could President Donald Trump have said to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in July? You can actually see it here and decide for yourself.

The transcripts of the call have been released and nothing is redacted.

Of course, after reading, Democrats will interpret the wording one way and Republicans another way. Did you expect anything different?

Read the report here:

Ukraine Call Transcript by Fox News on Scribd

The person who is actually looking bad in the transcript is former Vice President Joe Biden.

Trump told the American people that the stock market rising after the transcript came up is a great indication that the phone call had nothing wrong in it and had more to say.

Here is Trump speaking:

Trump tweeted this:

Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi came out of closed door meetings on Tuesday and said that the Democrats are opening an investigation into the impeachment of Trump. But the Democrats jumped the gun and didn’t bother to wait until the transcript was released today to look at the transcript of the phone call that was at the helm of the Whistleblower letter that allegedly accused someone of wrong doing.

But Democrats have not seen the Whistleblower report. The name of the Whistleblower is not known as of yet.

Democrats now want to see the Whistleblower’s accusation; in fact, they’re demanding it.

The mention of promised money being held back for information on Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden is what the Democrats were banking on. There was no such message in the phone call according to the transcripts.

But then, Democrats have an unusual way of reading and seeing documents in a rather different light than Republicans.

The blame game is in full force. Democrats, in fact, one in particular, Representative Adam Schiff, D-CA.,  is stating that money was withheld and that the president of the Ukraine allegedly got a Mafia like threat that didn’t have to be actually stated for him to assume he was being threatened by monies being withheld.

Hear/see Schiff speak here:

The question of the alleged deeds of Joe Biden being investigated for alleged possible wrong doing involving his son Hunter is actually something that should be investigated.

Congressman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., is calling for Attorney General William Barr to recuse himself from a possible Ukrainian probe.

Haven’t we had enough with the Russia probe? Do we want to spend another few years on a new probe now that it is rather obvious that nothing came out of Mueller’s report on a very costly investigation? No!

The president has been talking to world leaders at the UN this week. The problems in the world are at the forefront but the Democrats have taken this week to over-shadow Trump with attacking him once more.

How many times can these lawmakers step away from the job that they are paid for and create investigations that are very expensive but produce no particular outcome?

It appears that the answer is as many as they can.

Get out the popcorn because this investigation cannot end well for the Democrats. They’ve been caught with their hands in the cookie jar. My humble opinion on this matter is that the former vice president is the one who will go down over this.

Which Democrat Will be Next to Drop Out of the Race?

by Daveda Gruber:

As time goes on, the group of presidential runners for the Democratic nomination is slowly shrinking. The next person to be stepping out of the race will most likely be the man who had a Spartacus moment earlier this year.

Senator Cory Booker’s D-NJ., campaign manager, Addisu Demissie, sent out a memo to staffers that warned that Booker must raise an additional $1.7 million by the end of the third quarter of fundraising, which is only 10 days away. If this can’t be done, Booker’s campaign will not have a “legitimate long-term path forward.”

Two sources have allegedly explained that the memo was leaked to NBC News and for good reason. There is now an ongoing effort to spark a rise in fundraising over the next ten days.

Booker tweeted this:

On Saturday morning a campaign memo was sent to political reporters.

The memo reads, “This isn’t an end-of-quarter stunt or another one of those memos from a campaign trying to spin the press. This is a real, unvarnished look under the hood of our operation at a level of transparency unprecedented in modern presidential campaigns.”

Booker had built an intimidating operation in the early voting primary and caucus states. Large staff on the ground in Iowa, New Hampshire, and other early voting states is rather expensive to maintain.

Demissie has warned that while the campaign can continue at its current size and strength,  it does need more funding if it wants to expand to what it needs to be.

Demissie wrote in the memo, “If our campaign is not in a financial position to grow, he’s not going to continue to consume resources and attention that can be used to focus on beating Donald Trump, which needs to be everyone’s first priority.”

Booker launched his run for president early in February and qualified for the third and fourth round Democratic presidential primary debates.

The New Jersey Senator raised 4.5 million in the April-June second quarter of fundraising. That many sound like a lot but it actually is far behind former Vice President, Joe Biden; Senator from Vermont, Bernie Sanders; Senator from Massachusetts, Elizabeth Warren; and South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

But Booker has also struggled in polling. He averages in the low to mid-single digits, which is far behind the top-tier contenders who are former Vice President Joe Biden and Senators  Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders.

From what I see, one of these top three will be the Democratic nominee.

Trump Slaps Heavy Sanctions on Iran

by Daveda Gruber:

On Friday President Trump announced that the U.S. is hitting Iran’s national bank and that he believes sanctions against Iran are working.

Tehran is being blamed for the recent attack on Saudi oil facilities and Trump is not ruling out military action if it becomes necessary.

Trump spoke to reporters from the Oval Office and said, “These are the highest sanctions ever imposed on a country. We’ve never done it to this level.”

On Wednesday ordered Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin to “substantially increase sanctions” on Iran.

Trump tweeted:

Mnuchin stood by the president on Friday as Trump said that the sanctions mean that the U.S. has now cut off all sources of funding to Iran.

Trump stated, “This will mean no more funds going to the [Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps] or to fund terror, and this is on top of our oil sanctions and our financial institution sanctions.”

He called the move “very big.”

Trump added, “Right to the top,” before saying that Tehran is now “ broke” in the wake of the U.S. maximum pressure campaign.

Trump claimed, “It’s going to hell, doing poorly, they’re practically broke ˗ they are broke.”

On Friday afternoon, during a joint press conference at the White House with visiting Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Trump said, “We are by far the strongest military in the world. Going into Iran would be a very easy decision.”

Trump went on to say,  “Iran could be a great country, could be a rich country, but they are choosing to go a different way. There will be a point in which they will be very sorry for that choice.”

The president continued, “I think I’m showing great restraint. Most people thought I’d go in within two seconds. But plenty of time, plenty of time.”

The strength of sanctions set in place will no doubt put a halt to Tehran’s sponsorship of terrorism if only for a lack of deep financial means.

Next week Trump will be at the U.N. General Assembly where Iranian leaders will also be in attendance.

Trump has indicated that war is not to his liking but that he feels the country is prepared for whatever comes.

Trump said, “Iran knows if they misbehave, they’re on borrowed time.”

Joe Walsh Joins Bill Weld in a Bid to Take Down Trump

by Daveda Gruber:

On Sunday morning former Illinois Congressman Joe Walsh announced that he is running for president of the United States.

He’s running as a Republican.

William Joseph (Joe) Walsh was born on December 27, 1961. He is an American Conservative talk radio host and a Politician. He served one term in the United States House of Representative for Illinois’ 8th congressional district from January 2011 through January 2013.

Walsh tweeted this:

He will join Bill (William) Weld to challenge President Trump in the GOP primary race.

William Floyd Weld was born July 31, 1945. He is an American attorney, businessman, and Republican politician who served as the 68th Governor of Massachusetts.

Here’s a tweet from Weld:

Do you think either one has a chance to beat an incumbent president? Personally, I don’t think either one of these guys a a chance to beat President Trump. This is becoming a big waste of money on behalf of both parties.

How Much Does Buttigieg Want to Spend on Public Health Care?

by Daveda Gruber:

Democratic presidential candidates have been promising a lot of free stuff this election season. After all, the voting public want things that don’t cost them anything, right?

On Thursday, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, Pete Buttigieg, got right into the thick of free stuff and announced his $1.5 trillion public option health care plan.

Buttigieg calls his plan “Medicare-for-all who want it.” Mayor Pete said that he would balance the rather large price tag with “cost savings and corporate tax reform to ensure big corporations pay their fair share.”

The comments from Buttigieg were very clear in an op-ed that he wrote in “The Washington Post.”

The first openly gay candidate wrote, “Rather than flipping a switch and kicking almost 160 million Americans off their private insurance, including 20 million seniors already choosing private plans within Medicare, my plan lets Americans keep a private plan if they want to. If private insurers are unable or unwilling to offer better plans than they do today, competition from this public alternative will naturally lead to Medicare-for-all.”

Buttigieg’s plan differs from the health care plans of his fellow Democratic candidates. The plans that Senators Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts would all but spell the end of private health insurance. The cost to the federal government is allegedly estimated to be an extra $32 trillion over a decade.

Buttigieg also said that his plan would cap marketplace premiums for Americans on private insurance at 8.5% of a person’s income.

Buttigieg tweeted this out:

Along with this rather expensive plan, earlier in September Buttigieg released his climate proposal that could cost between $1.5 trillion and $2 trillion over the next ten years.

Yes folks that’s trillion with a big “T”.

Have You Seen the New Biden Video?

by Daveda Gruber:

President Trump’s reelection campaign seems to be enjoying keeping an eye on former Vice President Joe Biden.

The new video that they have released shows that they carefully have compiled the best clips of Biden gaffs.

The clips show a confused Biden stumbling through gaffs and other verbal fumbles and even bumbling interactions with fellow candidates for the 2020 presidential nomination.

The 76 year old Biden as turned out to be the gift that keeps on giving.  His remarks including  “poor kids” are just as talented as “white kids,” not knowing that he was in New Hampshire when he described how beautiful Vermont is, choosing “truth over facts” and “record players,” which he mentioned on the most recent debate stage.

Then there was Biden calling Senator Cory Booker, D-N.J., the president then switched it to “future president.” Biden has also referred to himself as the current Vice President.

Former Housing Secretary Julian Castro, who served in the Obama administration with Biden, hit Biden with a low blow about Biden’s memory. Castro argued that Biden contradicted himself on whether Americans would have to buy into his healthcare plan.

Castro asked, “You just said two minutes ago they would have to buy in. Are you forgetting what you said two minutes ago?”

It was a low blow because it was later proven by the Biden campaign that Castro had gotten it wrong.

The video closes with an indication that Trump gave Sleepy Joe a perfect name.

Trump’s campaign manager, Brad Parscale, tweeted this out on Tuesday:

It is understandable that some Democrats are fearful of Biden’s ability to run against Trump if Biden should win the Democratic nomination.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that in my personal opinion there is no Democratic candidate running for the nomination who can beat Trump. I’d invite Biden to challenge Trump.

Relax and get out the popcorn, this should be fun.
