Happy Birthday America

“Freedom (Noun): To ask nothing. To expect nothing. To depend on nothing.”

With the beginning of recorded time we know most humans have taken the path of least resistance, the road most traveled, regardless of outcome.

From the Buddha to Socrates, Plato and Aristotle, through Jesus, Shakespeare and Adam Smith, we can see the evolution of Self fighting through the masses to explain that life is not a mauling of grunting bodies lurching from one act to another but rather an incredibly beautiful, and at times stunningly painful, INDIVIDUAL experience.

A lesson most, made even easier by technology and ample calories, continue to ignore at their own peril as “weak men make hard times”.

“People demand freedom of speech as a compensation for the freedom of thought which they seldom use.”

Freedom is not something a majority of humans truly desire as most of the world lives under some form of oppression.

In the greatest country in the history of Man too many wallow under self inflicted prisons known as obesity, drug/alcohol dependence, the willful ignorance of bigotry, the cowardly act of unembraced fear and the lifeless indolent apathy that comes with the acceptance and then expectation of fruit from another’s labor.

Brilliant minds have walked us again and again to and through the door.

“What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as freedom should not be highly rated.”

“I am an American; free born and free bred, where I acknowledge no man as my superior, except for his own worth, or as my inferior, except for his own demerit.”

Somehow the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave has been whittled away into a debt soaked, tragically immoral destination where actual science has been replaced with fiction and fiction has become “fact”.

Where the criminally perverse world of molestation and rape continues to be set free while the degenerate degradation of “body positive” guarantees the usage of life shortening pharmaceuticals.

Where Washington and Lincoln are the Devil incarnate and Karl Marx is the second coming of Christ.

The recognized birthday of the Great Experiment has again arrived and for many celebration will justifiably take place.

We Americans will be among those who rally and sing and show love for these United States.

Just like we do every other day of the year.

A line in a very famous piece of literature states,“I am no bird; and no net ensnares me: I am a free human being with an independent will.”

Are you?

Each of us will eventually have that questioned answered and for many the response to their hubris will be brutal, as they look everywhere, except to God.

In the meantime, Happy Birthday America.

Gratefully, I am forever in your debt and always at your service.
