The son of presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, had to come up with some money.
Allegedly a tax lien filed against him in July for $453,890. It was released just six days later. The issue was resolved according to the Washington Free Beacon.
The younger Biden had claimed to be broke during a child custody case where Biden eventually agreed to make child support payments.
He had failed to turn over financial records in that case.
Even so, when the lien was placed on July 9th, it was released on July 15th.
It was not confirmed if the lien was paid.
Hunter Biden’s finances have been under scrutiny since a private investigator made an attempt to intervene in the child custody case in 2019.
A private investigation firm had claimed that in December they lawfully obtained access to Biden’s bank account records. That collection of information confirmed his involvement in a massive, $156 million “counterfeiting scheme.”
Biden’s legal team strongly denied the claims which were said to be unverified.
They called the effort by the Florida-based D&A Investigations an obviously bogus scheme by a non-party simply to make scandalous allegations in the pending suit. They also claimed that it was to gain media attention without any material or pertinent material.
Biden’s financial matter came to light in connection with the House’s impeachment inquiry effort of President Trump.
Instead of finding an impeachable offense against Trump, Hunter Biden’s seat on Burisma Holdings, which is an energy company in Ukraine, was uncovered.
Burisma had been under investigation by Ukrainian authorities in the past. Then Vice President Biden used pressure to have the prosecutor in charge fired to which many called a quid pro quo.
The elder Biden denies any wrong doing.
If Hunter Biden had enough money to come up with it in six days, maybe he wasn’t as broke as he claimed?
Maybe daddy picked up the tab? Your guess is as good as mine.
The whole affair appears sketchy to me but then certain people never seem to face justice for the potentially illegal deeds thy do.
