Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam’s name is on the tip of many tongues this week. He being asked to step down by his own Democrat Party.
Northam has come out with a video that gives an apology from him. He posted it to Twitter to make amends for comments he made on abortion and a picture he posted in his yearbook while at med School.
Northam said, “I am committed to continuing that fight through the remainder of my term and living up to the expectations you set for me when you elected me to serve.”
Here is the tweet from him:

This past week, Northam made comments on a controversial proposed new abortion law that one sponsor had said this week could allow women to terminate a pregnancy up until the moment before birth.
Northam stated, “So in this particular example if a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen, the infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”
What would they would discuss is rather obvious and is strikingly pro-choice. The bill would make it legal to murder a baby in the third trimester of a pregnancy and to kill an infant after birth if circumstances warranted.
That’s correct, kill a human being. The numbers are staggering. Fifty million abortions have been performed in the United States since 1973, when the U.S. Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision made the procedure legal on Mar 6, 2015. This is not rare.
Although he was a pediatric neurologist, the rights of the unborn or a newborn didn’t seem to have any meaning to Northam, according to his statements.
Oh, he is 
sorry for what he said but is he sorry that his views are causing problems or sorry for his way of thinking that came through in his speaking?
I believe that this is the way the man thinks. Why? Well, he had also posted pictures in a yearbook during his time at medical school.
The doctor and later, Politician, posted a blackface photo along side of a KKK (Klu Klux Klan) member in a hood. It is not known which of the two is actually Northam and he did not clarify himself at first. He is now claiming that the picture of the blackface individual is not him.
So, is he the man under the hood? The fact that the picture conceals the identity of the two individuals pictured makes it impossible to know for sure.

The tweet was indicative of most Republican Twitter users on the subject.
On the other side of the coin, Democratic lawmakers were even calling it a racist remark and asking Northam to resign. Here are some tweets from Northam’s own party:
Leaders are called to a higher standard, and the stain of racism should have no place in the halls of government. The Governor of Virginia should step aside so the public can heal and move forward together.

Now go back to during the 2017 gubernatorial contest, then-lieutenant governor Northam cast his opponent, Republican Ed Gillespie, and the Virginians who supported him as bigots intent on implementing policies reflective of their hatred of racial minorities.
Citing Gillespie’s opposition to sanctuary-city policies, Northam and his allies explicitly labeled his opponent’s policies “racist” on numerous occasions.

Karma can be a bitch, right?
I’d say that Northam is getting what he deserves. He is not capable of serving the people of Virginia.
