Woman to Woman: Conway and Pelosi at Odds

by Daveda Gruber:

On Wednesday, after a rather brief meeting in the White House,

White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi didn’t seem to see eye to eye.

The meeting between President Trump and Pelosi, along with Senator Chuck Schumer, had been scheduled as an opportunity to discuss the country’s infrastructure. The night before the meeting, the White House had gotten word that Pelosi also had plans to discuss the “I” word or impeachment with her Democratic cohorts before she met with Trump.

After a meeting with her caucus, Pelosi spoke in front of reporters and cameras and made a statement that the president “engaged in a cover-up”.

As you can well imagine, Trump was not pleased and Pelosi’s angry words became the reason for the meeting with Trump to be scrapped after a brief encounter.

Trump left the room and then Conway asked Pelosi if she had a “direct response to the president,”

Fair question, right? Actually, Pelosi was not pleased and retorted, “I’m responding to the president, not staff.”

Conway did not seem to take that well. It is alleged that Conway came back with, “Really great. That’s really pro-woman of you.”

Trump reiterated his stance when he spoke to reporters in the Rose Garden and told reporters, “I don’t do cover-ups.”

Trump spoke about negotiating with Democrats, “You can’t do it under these circumstances. Get these phony investigations over with.”

Pelosi wasn’t done either. On Wednesday afternoon, at a Center for American Progress 2019 Ideas Conference Pelosi said, “The fact is, in plain sight, in the public domain, this president is obstructing justice and he’s engaged in a cover-up. And that could be an impeachable offense,”

Pelosi spoke to reporters on Thursday and she is sticking to her talking points. Yes, she mentioned the president being involved in a “cover-up” again. She also added that Trump stormed out of the meeting.

We know what Trump had to say because Trump is transparent through his tweets. Trump tweeted this today:

House Minority Leader R-CA., Kevin McCarthy spoke up for the GOP side of the issue. Check out this tweet by CSPAN:

In my humble opinion, Trump is never going to sit and have discussions with a woman who claims that he is involved in a criminal activity such as, a “cover-up”. Pelosi has a stubborn character and that will not fly well with our president. Besides, who would want to talk with someone who is plotting a call for a presidential impeachment?

Trump Walks Out of Talks with Schumer and Pelosi

by Daveda Gruber:

While President Trump continues to speak out against the mainstream media and their reporting of the “WITCH HUNT’ during an impromptu press conference on Wednesday morning when he declared the need to get the phony investigations over with.

Trump also said that infrastructure and getting prices down on prescription drugs had to be dealt with but that first of all, the “HOAX” that is the Russian probe had to come to an end.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senator Chuck Schumer met with Trump but only after Pelosi had a meeting with other Democrats, including  Reps. David Cicilline of Rhode Island, Jamie Raskin of Maryland and Joe Neguse of Colorado who are all members of Democratic leadership.

The discussion  that the Democrats had dealt with, as Trump has now labeled it, the “I” word or as we know it, impeachment.

Here is Trump speaking outside the White House in the Rose Garden that he tweeted:

Pelosi D-Calif., had no clue that things would not go well with Trump after she went and announced, in front of press and cameras, and said that Trump was engaged in a “cover-up”.

The Democrats had pushed to begin impeachment proceedings during a leadership meeting in Pelosi’s office. Pelosi and Reps. Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut, Ben Ray Luján of New Mexico, Hakeem Jeffries of New York and Cheri Bustos of Illinois who are all allies of Pelosi, rejected their calls, saying Democrats’ message is being drowned out by the fight over possibly impeaching Trump.

“We had a very productive meeting,” Pelosi told reporters. “It was a respectful sharing of ideas. We do believe it is important to follow the facts. We believe that no one is above the law, including the president of the United States. And we believe that the president of the United States is engaged in a cover-up—a cover-up. And that was the nature of the meeting.”

Pelosi and Schumer spoke to reporters after they met with Trump.

Here’s a tweet that shows what was said:

Needless to say, Trump is not happy with Democrats continuing their push to impeach. In fact, the Democrats are not happy with Trump not wanting to talk about issues that will help Americans until the Democrats clear up their mess and the investigations from Congress are through.
Trump tweeted today:

Our president seems tired and fed up with the “WITCH HUNT” and he’d like to see an investigation on issues of who and what started the investigation on him, his family, friends and campaign members.

The Robert Mueller report is out. It’s a done deed; it’s over. There was no collusion and no obstruction found. We the American people are tired of our tax dollars going down the drain. Case closed.

Nadler Leading the Pack Against Barr but Holder Contempt Vote was Shameful?

by Daveda Gruber:

On Wednesday House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., led his pack of Democrats to hold Attorney General Barr in contempt of Congress.

The contempt charge has been led by Nadler and has Barr allegedly accused for not handing over documents related to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe ˗˗ declaring the move necessary as the country enters a “constitutional crisis.”

Nadler also alleged that Barr acted as President Trump’s personal attorney.

Watch this video put out by MSNBC:

Oh my, things have certainly changed since 2012. In that year the shoe was on the other foot. House Republicans took the same step against then-AG Eric Holder for refusing to hand over documents related to the Fast and Furious gun-running scandal.

Remember Fast and Furious? Of course you do. All of us have recollections of where DOJ officials tracked thousands of guns smuggled across the border and then did nothing to stop them.

Well, Nadler was so against Holder being held in contempt that he tweeted this:

And they did. Over one hundred members of Congress walked out of Congress over the vote to hold the Obama-era DOJ leader in contempt.

Donald Trump Jr. noticed the “irony” that Nadler had displayed and tweeted  about it:

The House Minority Leader, at that time in 2012,  Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., argued House Republicans were more politically motivated in attacking Holder than driven to get to the bottom of the failed operation.

Pelosi said, “What is happening here is shameful.”

You can’t make this stuff up. In the year 2012 Pelosi was so against Holder being held in contempt and she made sure she put her two cents in. Watch these video clips and how Pelosi felt about Holder being held in contempt of Congress:

Former Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, wrote an op-ed for FOX News and said that the White House ‘stonewalling’ Congress represents an attack on ‘the essence of our democracy’ – as though stonewalling were some new phenomena. Where was Nadler’s righteous indignation when the stonewalling came from a Democratic White House?”

In an article by Politico, it was written that Fast and Furious has finally come to a conclusion and both sides said they maintained their disagreements but were dropping their appeals and the underlying lawsuit.

A settlement in a seven-year legal battle between the House and the Justice Department over records related to a gun-running investigation known as Operation Fast and Furious was publicly announced Wednesday just as similar clashes continue to intensify between the House and Trump administration.

The deal ends a lawsuit the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee filed in 2012 after the House voted to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt for refusing to release some records the panel demanded about the probe, during which law enforcement officials watched but did not intervene as up to 2,000 weapons were illegally sold.

The fight over the records ended more than a year ago, but a proposed settlement ran aground last fall after U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson signaled that she would refuse to wipe out her rulings in the case.

Both the Obama administration and the House objected to aspects of her decisions, but the executive branch had the larger grievance, as Jackson rejected the Justice Department’s longstanding position that courts have no proper role in resolving battles between Congress and federal agencies over access to records.

In the settlement filed Wednesday, both sides said they maintained their disagreements with Jackson’s decisions but were dropping their appeals and the underlying lawsuit.

“The Parties agree that because subsequent developments have obviated the need to resolve those issues in an appeal in this case, the District Court’s holdings should not in any way control the resolution of the same or similar issues should they arise in other litigation between the Committee and the Executive Branch, and hereby waive any right to argue that the judgment of the District Court or any of the District Court’s orders or opinions in this case have any preclusive effect in any other litigation,” the agreement says.

Is this a big coincidence that Nadler is being held in contempt of Congress but “Fast and Furious”  just finally got an agreement worked out on both sides agreeing not to use an appeal?

If we don’t pay attention and we are not “a fly on the wall in Congress” who knows what we’d miss.

In my humble opinion, I don’t see Barr being hurt by any of these allegations by the Democratic side of Congress. He has only gone by the rule of law and has not broken it.

Did Pelosi Accuse Barr of Lying to Congress?

by Daveda Gruber:

Late Thursday morning, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi D-Calif., went on the record during a public press conference and said that Attorney General William Barr “lied to Congress.”

In a closed-door meeting Pelosi also allegedly told her colleagues that Barr committed a crime. She allegedly told Rep. Charlie Crist, D-Fla., “We saw [Barr] commit a crime when he answered your question.”

Pelosi was referring to a hearing on April 9. Crist had asked whether Barr knew what prompted reports that prosecutors on the special counsel team were frustrated with his initial summary.

Barr denied the allegation by saying that he did not.

This week “The Washington Post” reported that Special Counsel Robert Mueller contacted Barr, both in a letter and in a phone call, to express concerns. This came after Barr released his four-page summary of Mueller’s findings in March.

Mueller wanted Barr to release the executive summaries written by the special counsel’s office which stated that a four-page memo to Congress that described the principal conclusions of the investigation into President Trump “did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance” of Mueller’s work.

Mueller made it clear that he did not feel that Barr’s summary was inaccurate. Instead, Mueller told Barr that media coverage of the letter had “misinterpreted” the results of the probe concerning obstruction of justice.

Pelosi, said publicly, “He lied to Congress. And if anybody else did that, it would be considered a crime,” she told reporters. “Nobody is above the law. Not the president of the United States. Not the attorney general.”

Pelosi was then asked if Barr should go to jail for the alleged crime.

Pelosi replied, “There is a process involved here and as I said, I’ll say it again, the committee will have to come to how we will proceed.”

You can see and hear the comments by Pelosi here:

The Justice Department did not take the comments by Pelosi lightly.

Justice Department spokeswoman Kerri Kupec said,  “Speaker Pelosi’s baseless attacks on the Attorney General is reckless, irresponsible and false.”

Did Pelosi Take Aim at Herself While Trying to Jab AOC?

by Daveda Gruber:

On Monday Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, made it clear that more praise was due to Democrats who flipped Republican seats in the 2018 midterms rather than to give that praise to representatives like herself and freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who carried districts where “glass of water” with a “D” next to it could win an election.

While Pelosi downplayed her own win she said, “When we won this election, it wasn’t in districts like mine or Alexandria’s. [S]he’s a wonderful member of Congress as I think all of our colleagues will attest. But those are districts that are solidly Democratic.”

To put emphasis on her claim, Pelosi then picked up a water glass that was next to her and said, “This glass of water would win with a ‘D’ next to its name in those districts.”

The phrase “Dumb as a Rock” comes to mind as I try to compare Pelosi and Ocasio-Cortez to a glass of water. A rock is an inanimate object as is a glass of water. Both don’t seem to have a brain.

Pelosi made the statement while making an appearance before the London School of Economics and Political Science.

This week Pelosi is traveling in Europe with a congressional delegation.

Is Pelosi seeing that the progressive wing of the Democratic party needs to be explained even if it means downplaying the significance of her own win in California?

Well, let’s analyze what Pelosi said on “60 Minutes” on Sunday night to  Lesley Stahl. Pelosi described the influence of the Democrats’ progressive wing as being “like five people.”

Who are the five people? Well, I can pull a few names out of the air but then I seem to get a much larger number than five.

I also find that saying the word “like” a lot seems to be what Pelosi and Ocasio-Cortez have in common aside from winning in easy to win Democratic districts.

Mad Maxine Back to Pushing Impeachment?

by Daveda Gruber:

Mad Maxine is on the prowl again. The Democrat from California, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, is talking about impeaching President Trump yet again.

On Tuesday Waters told the Woman’s National Democratic Club dinner, “Some people say, ‘How dare her (sic) come out and say, ‘Impeach him? She doesn’t know enough about him to talk about impeaching him.’ But now the American people, whether they say it or not, they know that this man is dangerous.”

She went on to say, “That certainly, he conspired with the Kremlin and with the oligarchs of Russia.”

Well, we all know that Mad Maxine has nothing good to say about Trump but now she’s out to attack Attorney General William Barr.

Waters said, according to the Washington Examiner, “I know that you are all worried about the special counsel and the fact that we have a report that has been described to us in a letter by the attorney general. We don’t know what’s in the report yet, and we’re going to demand it,”

Waters then stated, “Let me leave you with this: Despite the fact that we haven’t gotten the report yet, and we’re going after it, and it may be subpoenaed, that it is being worked on. I’m still saying impeach 45.”

In reference to the Mueller report and the conclusions reached by Barr, Waters was on a different train of thought when she said, “I think we do nothing now but concentrate on getting the information, getting that report.”

According to Politico, Waters also said, “[Impeachment has] never been discussed as a strategy for this caucus. It’s only a few of us.”

Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi had a different approach. Pelosi told the Washington Post Magazine, “I’m not for impeachment. Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it divides the country.”

She wasn’t done and added, “And he’s just not worth it.”

The insults always follow anything that could have been misconstrued as a positive comment about Trump.

House Dems Reject Motion Condemning Illegal Immigrant Voting

by Daveda Gruber:

Do Democrats want an America with open borders? Well, you have to understand that the impressions they are giving surely points to that agenda.

On Friday almost all House Democrats opposed a measure condemning voting in U.S. elections by illegal immigrants.

The GOP backed a measure that would have added language to the “H.R. 1” election proposal as a part of a sweeping election reform bill.

It is really only logical, but then some people have no logic, it was written in the proposal that “allowing illegal immigrants the right to vote devalues the franchise and diminishes the voting power of United States citizens.”

As the federal law stands, non-citizens are prohibited from voting. The law doesn’t seem to be that easy to enforce. We’ve all heard about illegal voting, haven’t we?

In some cases it is easier to see when voting is manipulated. Many states have found that “dead people” vote and some measures have been taken to stop it.

It becomes more difficult to pin point voter fraud when a city such as San Francisco, which is allowing non-citizens, including illegal immigrants, to register to vote in school board elections.

All House Democrats, except for six of them, voted down the measure by 228-197.  One Republican opposed it.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) said, “It sounds like I’m making it up,” What kind of government would cancel the vote of its own citizens, and replace it with noncitizens?”

He tweeted this:

Lauren Fine, who is a spokeswoman for House GOP Whip Steve Scalise, made the point that an identical resolution was adopted by the House last September. On Friday, 41 Democrats flipped and now oppose this latest measure. How quickly they change their minds.

Fine said, “These 41 Democrats must now answer to voters why they were against illegal immigrants voting in elections six months ago, but are suddenly in favor of it now.”

Scalise took to Twitter and tweeted:

On Friday the House, with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, at the helm, approved the Democrat-backed election bill. It would institute public financing of congressional campaigns, require presidential candidates to disclose tax returns and make Election Day a federal holiday.

Unfortunately for the Democrats, the measure is dead on arrival in the Senate.

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., sees problems with the bill.

The “H.R. 1” measure has been criticized by civil libertarians and Republicans over First Amendment concerns.

Republicans still control the Senate and that closes the case.

Was the WRAP UP SMEAR Used on Trump?

by: Daveda Gruber:

We all know that smearing someone can be a tricky thing to do without getting caught. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has some information to share. Yes. she knows what it takes to SMEAR anyone using what she calls the WRAP UP SMEAR.

I believe that this tactic was used on President Trump to create what we know as the Trump–Russia dossier, which is also known as the Steele dossier.

This dossier was allegedly created as the insurance policy that FBI employees Peter Strzok  and Lisa Page texted each other about in regard to then candidate Donald Trump potentially winning the presidential election in 2016.

I found this video of Pelosi speaking to a training class. In it she talks about how the WRAP UP SMEAR tactic is used. She knows all about how it is used for a very good reason. I believe that she has used it and will do so again.

Remember, she is the third most powerful politician in the country. She is the Speaker of the House and third in line for the Presidency.

Watch the video here:

So, Pelosi has stated that the WRAP UP SMEAR is used when a Politician demonizes something with falsehoods and then it is reported by the mainstream media, as if it were true, and then used as a merchandising tool to be used by the Politician because it is written up by the press. It has validation because it was written up and is now in the media.

There you have it. This is why having reporters write about what you say is important. This is too easy to do when you have the media on your side.

Border Patrol Wives Invite Pelosi for a Visit

by: Daveda Gruber:

There is a group of women from Texas who believe that a wall or barrier would be a good thing for Border Patrol agents. Their husbands understand the urgency for a barrier because they defend our border between the U.S. and Mexico.

One wife of a Border Patrol agent has invited House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to come to Texas to see for herself how much the southern border is in desperate need of a barrier.

Jill Demanski wrote in the letter posted on Facebook on Thursday:

The letter went viral for good reason.

FOX News had an article that contains a statement from Demaski that reads:

“I felt it’s really important to have our leaders come here and see what’s happening first. It’s important to meet with the people who are here on a daily basis, that are witnessing it – the effects of it, that it has on our country,” Demaski said on “Fox & Friends” on Monday. “We want them to come here and make an informed decision and to see what’s really going on.”

Demaski said if Pelosi sees the letter and agrees to visit, she hopes the California Democrat will do a ride-along with border agents to see the day-to-day experiences of those on the front lines of the border issue.

“Border patrol and our agents and experts here have been asking for [the wall] for years,” she said. “Now we have a president who has come here and seen first-hand the need and has had our backs.”

Renea Perez is also a wife of a Border Patrol agent. She said, that while the women feel safe in Rio Grande Valley, the men and women who patrol the southern border could still use some help in high-traffic areas.

The women are inviting Pelosi to visit Texas and see for herself what is going on every day.

The invitation to Pelosi does not stand alone. Ranchers in the area are inviting her, as well.

From Breitbart:

So far, the invitation has not been taken up by Pelosi.

On Sunday President Trump tweeted a rather interesting video on the border crisis:

The border crisis is real. There are no made up facts. President Trump knows what he is doing; trust me.

The Writer writes the text, the Reader writes the story

Writing can be a two-fold positive experience.

First, there is the joy that comes with creation.

If that sounds like a fortune cookie saying, it’s because it is.

In fact that little strip of paper has been taped to a mirror in my warehouse for almost a decade.

I ate the cookie and consumed the message.

The second part is watching the response.

As a wise owl once hooted, “The writer writes the text, the reader writes the story”.

Let me use some of your words to provide an example.

Last week I wrote a column titled CRAZY AUNT NANCY, CHEEKBONES CHEROKEE AND EATING CROW.

One comment stated, “Jason Kraus has a way of translating today’s ‘distasteful’ political scene into a more humorous view of the political tragedy that surrounds us. One needn’t agree with what Jason says, but, if you aren’t careful, you just might come away with an unexpected smile and a clearer view of the politics of the ‘Left’.”

Another commenter wrote,”PERFECTLY stated ~ he’s an awesome writer. There is NEVER any shortage of assinine (misspelled on purpose, pun intended) material from The Left, and our funny, talented, creative Trump supporting Memers keep me laughing NONSTOP. This past week has been epic. Laughing so much, so hard… I physically hurt.”

There were certainly others in this strain as I am blessed with so many of you across our great country who share your love and wonderful verbiage with me daily. I only wish I could put all of you in here but then it would end up being an infomercial on why “Jason Kraus is fantastic.”

Then again that does sound like fun but on a more serious note I am truly humbled and enjoy every positive comment.

As with all things though, there is always that yin to our yang, the Progressive versus the Patriot, ANTIFA against the AMERICANS.

One comment was so unintelligible my brain wouldn’t allow my fingers to type it in.

Another disliked the length, the topics, and said it was “repetitive”.

Finally one commenter asked,”Is this supposed to be funny?”

First of all, it was hilarious.

I know this because I was laughing while typing.

Secondly it is only “lengthy” and “repetitive” to those who don’t like the truth put right in their faces.

Of course nobody likes three stiff jabs followed by a wicked right cross but I am not the one creating all the drama.

I simply put it in its proper perspective or as another comment stated, this is “Good $hit”.

Good $hit indeed.

Yet here we are in the most incredible technological time in history and one half of the voting population actually believes Donald Trump won Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Florida because he “colluded with the Russians”.

Talk about writing your own story.

Now we see Barack Obama back on the stage telling anyone who will listen that he is responsible for the 4% growth in our economy and this is being parroted by the Abominations.

One need only to go to the “technology” to search and find hundreds of times where Obama stated our economy was now a 2% economy and that our nation should get used to it.

The same nation where Barack’s Common Core brought math results to a 14 year low.

Where Obama minions called for the murder of cops, crackers, and Jews.

Where foreign nationals crossed into our country by the tens of thousands and were provided free water, food, shelter, medical care, schooling and licenses to drive but a Marine missed an exit and was incarcerated in Mexico for months.

Where Black Lives Matter was given “space to destroy”.

Barack was so lazy he even ripped off Jimmy the Martyr Carter’s old Progressive phrase.

The New Normal.

This should be expected from a man so apathetic, he was able to only use one vowel “I” reportedly dozens of times, in a recent thirty minute speech.

Obama: I am the greatest.

Just ask me.

Let us ask a different question.

How many times Liberals, does Lucy, have to move the football?

How many times does Michael Brown have to go for the cop’s gun?

How many children have to be trafficked and sold into sexual slavery because of our open border?

How many Libs?

How much is enough?

When will life matter? When will the pursuit of happiness matter?

When will Freedom matter to you wretched souls?

We know you’ll target Americans using the IRS.

We know you’ll abort babies and sell their bodies.

We know you’ll let our soldiers die and then blame it on a video.

You think my writings of your rantings aren’t funny?

Just wait until you are face to face with my brethren and I, known as AMERICANS.

You won’t find that funny either, and sadly for you, we won’t be laughing anymore.

Those that fail to read the text properly will have their story written for them and it won’t be with a pen.
