Have You Seen the Latest Twitter War?

by Daveda Gruber:

As we begin the work week, on Monday, a new Twitter war between President Trump and Rev. Al Sharpton is in full force.

Trump did not mince words when he answered Sharpton’s tweet and declared that Sharpton  was “con man” who “hates whites & cops.”

The MSNBC host said that he would travel to Baltimore in the midst of the controversy over the president’s comments about the city and its Democratic lawmakers.

Here’s tweets from Trump:

On Sunday night, Sharpton posted details of a press conference he planned to give Monday “to address Trump’s remarks & bi-partisan outrage in the black community.”

This came about in response to Trump’s criticism of Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md.. The condition of his district, which includes Baltimore, came into play.

Trump tweeted:

Sharpton tweeted this:

The Twitter war started with Cummings being called out by Trump through tweets over the weekend. Trump called Cummings a “brutal bully” for his treatment of Border Patrol officials at committee hearings. The president also described Cummings’ district as “far worse and more dangerous” than the southern border.

Cummings has represented Maryland’s 7th District since 1996.

Well the fact is that his district is in really bad shape. People who live there, live with rats, mice, roaches, lice and bed bugs. Cummings’ constituents are not happy.

The 7th district is rat and rodent infested disaster and the crime rate is deadlier than Chicago and Detroit according to crime statistics released by the FBI.

I wonder if Sharpton will visit the bad parts of the district and report what the residents are actually facing in their everyday lives. That would be a start to help fix the mess that Democrat lawmakers seem to have a knack for creating.

A Sticky Situation

by Daveda Gruber:

It has been a sticky situation on   this past week.

In fact, sticky is an understatement. Environmental protesters literally glued themselves to doors and walls of subterranean passageways that link the House office buildings with the U.S. Capitol.

The demonstrators glued themselves to areas with a substance, which is like Super Glue or Gorilla Glue,  to walls and doorways. They would not reveal what glue they used because then police or the fire department could possibly know what to use as kind of antidote to use to unglue them.

Yes, folks, they glued themselves to make their points.

The protestors also draped yellow caution tape around their bodies and draped themselves in signs and declared that the tunnels were closed.

When lawmakers were called to the floor to vote on Tuesday night, the protestors ranted on and lawmakers were forced to listen. Members of the House had to contort their bodies around the glued protestors to get to the Capitol.

Emergency crews worked diligently and eventually unglued the protestors and were able to arrest 17 persons and charged them with crowding and obstructing. Police charged another 15 with resisting arrest.

Maybe the glue resisted?

Large hand-prints remained on several doors in the basement of the Rayburn House Office Building after the protestors were long gone, accompanied by police.

Leaving finger prints can cause police to break a case wide open but in this instance no one was caring about leaving evidence. In fact, entire hand-prints left a lasting memory.

Barr Puts Death Penalty Back into Effect

by Daveda Gruber:

On Thursday, Attorney General William Barr put out a statement which details putting the death penalty back into effect in the judicial system.

The federal government will resume capital punishment after a lag of executions over the past fifteen years, which is not good news for those sentenced to be executed who are still on death row.

It was reported that the Justice Department has directed the Federal Bureau of Prisons to adopt a proposed addendum to the Federal Execution Protocol. This will give a clear path for executions to go forward.

In the report, Barr has also made it clear that five executions of death row inmates will be scheduled and carried out. It would make for the first execution since 2003.

Barr said in a statement, “Congress has expressly authorized the death penalty through legislation adopted by the people’s representatives in both houses of Congress and signed by the President.”

He then added, “Under administrations of both parties, the Department of Justice has sought the death penalty against the worst criminals, including these five murderers, each of whom was convicted by a jury of his peers after a full and fair proceeding. The Justice Department upholds the rule of law—and we owe it to the victims and their families to carry forward the sentence imposed by our justice system.”

In 2014, former President Barack Obama directed the department to conduct a review of capital punishment and issues surrounding lethal injection drugs. The review brought about a freeze on executions.

According to the department, the Bureau of Prisons has completed the review and the impending executions of death row inmates can now continue.

The executions will likely start in December of this year; just in time for Christmas.

Does Mueller Have a Way Out Not to Answer Questions?

by Daveda Gruber:

Has anyone wondered why the Department of Justice has set guidelines for former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s testimony before Congress? The answer proves to be quite simple.

According to reports, Attorney General William Barr, has said that it was Mueller’s team who had asked for Mueller’s testimony to House lawmakers to be kept “within the boundaries” of the public version of his Russia probe report.

Barr has responded that Mueller’s staff asked the department for guidance before the hearing. The DOJ complied with the request.

Barr has said in an interview, “At his press conference, Bob had said that he intended to stick with the public report and not go beyond that. And in conversations with the department, his staff was reiterating that that was their position and they asked us for guidance in writing to explain or to tell them our position was. So we responded in writing. The department sent the guidance that they requested.”

When Barr was asked if it was Mueller who asked for the letter, Barr replied, “Yes.”

The letter said:

“Should you testify, the Department understands that testimony regarding the work of the Special Counsel’s Office will be governed by the terms you outlined on May 29 — specifically, that the information you discuss during your testimony appears in, and does ‘not go beyond,’ the public version of your March 22, 2019 report to the Attorney General or your May 29 public statement.”

See the letter here:

Mueller Letter 072219 by Anonymous JAYve8 on Scribd

The letter was signed by Associate Deputy Attorney General Bradley Weinsheimer.

Mueller is set to testify on Wednesday, if all goes according to plan.

In the mean time, Mueller, who is not known to be a great public speaker, has asked for a special request. Mueller wants Aaron Zebley, his former chief of staff and his top aide on the Russia investigation, to accompany him at the witness table during the upcoming hearing.

Zebley would be able to answer for Mueller and Republicans are not happy with this. On the other hand, Democrats seem to be willing to go to any lengths to get Mueller on the stand to question him.

So, will we hear from Mueller at all? Time will tell. Stay tuned.

Iran Releases Video of Iranian Commandos Rappelling from Helicopter

by Daveda Gruber:

On Saturday a video was released by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards that shows commandos in black ski masks rappelling from a helicopter onto a British oil tanker that was seized in the Strait of Hormuz.

The British-flagged Stena Impero was intercepted late Friday by Iran’s IRGC. The ship’s owner is Stena Bulk.

The vessel was seized with a crew of 23 crew aboard it but it is reported that none aboard the vessel are British nationals.

The video shows the ‘Stena Impero’ tanker being surrounded by smaller boats. The Revolutionary Guard Corps commandos in the video are wearing black ski masks, which disguises their identity.

The smaller boats or Guard boats are said to be surrounding the ‘Stena Impero’ tanker in the video as a helicopter hovered above and the commandos rappelled onto the tanker.

The video is of high quality and it appears to have been taken by two cameras, one from a small boat that appears to be a speed-boat. The video aired on Iranian state TV.

Britain’s Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt warned Iran that it’s on a “dangerous path.” He added that a response would be “considered but robust.”

Hunt also said that Iranians’ behavior is “illegal and destabilizing” and warned of “serious consequences” after the tanker was seized in the Strait of Hormuz on Friday.

In comments on Twitter he said that he spoke to Iran’s foreign minister and express extreme disappointment that the Iranian diplomat had assured him Iran wanted to de-escalate the situation but “they have behaved in the opposite way.”

See tweets here:.

Senior officials said that their seizure of the Stena Impero as well as the brief detainment of a second UK-flagged vessel were a “reciprocal” measure amid economic sanctions.

The British navy seized an Iranian tanker in Gibraltar two weeks ago. That came about amid suspicions of shipping oil to Syria in violation of sanctions imposed by the European Union. Maritime trackers show it was headed to a port in Saudi Arabia.

Abbas Ali Kadkhodaei, who is a spokesman of Iran’s Guardian Council, allegedly said that the seizure of the tanker was warranted on the basis reciprocity as the British navy seized an Iranian tanker in Gibraltar two weeks ago amid suspicions of shipping oil to Syria in violation of sanctions regime imposed by the European Union.

On Friday, President Trump said that Iran is “nothing but trouble” soon after the news of the seized tankers broke. Trump remained hopeful the standoff will work out “very nicely.”

The president added that the (Iranian) regime “is showing their colors” by seizing the tankers and that it’s in “big trouble right now” due to the crushing sanctions imposed by the U.S.

Here is a video of the Helicopter incident:

Security in the Strait of Hormuz has been deteriorating. There have allegedly been six attacks on oil tankers that the U.S. has blamed on Iran  and the Tehran government denies.

These episodes have shaken up the shipping industry. Some of the 2,000 companies operating ships in the region are now on high alert. Many have ordered their vessels to use the Strait of Hormuz only during the daylight hours and to travel at high speed.

There are only a small amount of companies that stopped transit altogether.

Personally, I’m not looking forward to seeing a war break out. I hope that tensions in the area will ease but then, that’s not up to me. We’ll have to wait and see what happens next.

Epstein Won’t Be Free on Bail

by Daveda Gruber:

On Thursday, a New York federal judge denied bail to Jeffery Epstein who is facing sex trafficking charges.

Since his arrest on July 6th, Epstein has been held in custody waiting for a bail hearing. The 66 year old pleaded not guilty in his first court appearance.

U.S. District Judge Richard Berman presided over the bail hearing and related his decision. The judge said, “I doubt that any bail package can overcome danger to the community.”

Judge Berman said that the bail proposal was “irretrievably inadequate” and that the government established “danger to others and to the community” as well as a “risk of flight by a preponderance of the evidence.”

Epstein’s defense team had argued that the financier should be allowed to await trial under house arrest with electronic monitoring at his $77 million Manhattan mansion. They also said that he wouldn’t run and was willing to pledge a fortune of at least $559 million as collateral.

Allegedly, the case against Epstein, who is a registered sex offender, is growing in strength. Assistant U.S. Attorney Alex Rossmiller noted that it is “getting stronger every single day.”

More women are contacting authorities and giving accounts of Epstein of sexual abuse while they were minors.

A young women, Courtney Wild, who said that she was sexually abused by Epstein in Palm Beach, Florida when she was 14 years of age, pleaded with the judge to keep Epstein jailed.

Wild said, “He’s a scary person to have walking the streets.”

Add to this the fact that earlier this week, Rossmiller said that the government uncovered “piles of cash, dozens of diamonds” and a passport with a picture of the defendant but a name other than his own that was in a locked safe.

A premonition of impending suicide has come to my mind. I ask myself where would Epstein be more likely to be safe? Would he be safer at home or in jail?

After all, he has a lot of information in his head about people who flew on his airplane, “Lolita Express,” spent time on his private “Orgy Island,” or who had gone to parties with Epstein or held by Epstein.

MS-13 Members Charged in Horrific Murders

by Daveda Gruber:

MS-13 gang member known as the Fulton clique were indicted in California for the murders of seven  individuals.

According to a federal indictment released on Tuesday, twenty-two people were arrested in connection with nearly 200 crimes in several states. The alleged crimes took place over the last nine years.

U.S. Attorney Nick Hanna said, “We have now taken off the streets nearly two dozen people associated with the most violent arm of MS-13 in Los Angeles.”

Nineteen of the twenty-two defendants were in the United States illegally. The 19 males had come into the country over the past three or four years.

Sixteen of  them are accused in the murders of seven people in areas across Southern California over the past two years.

MS-13 is short for ‘La Mara Salvatrucha’, that was formed in Los Angeles in the 1980’s by refugees from El Salvador. They are linked to many slayings in parts of the U.S.

The suspects have allegedly operated in the San Fernando Valley, which is home to young immigrants who are illegally in this country.

The indictment reads, “In Los Angeles, a clique added new members through an initiation ritual known as ‘jumping in,’ during which several existing MS-13 members beat up a prospective MS-13 member for 13 seconds while the shot caller counted aloud for 13 seconds. Beginning in 2017 in Los Angeles, MS-13 members who identified with ‘503’ had been required” to murder a rival or other enemy of the group.”

In the state of California, the MS-13 gang has clashed with rival Nortenos gang members. Norteños is Spanish for “Northerner” and are a group of Latino street gangs with origins in northern California, which is north of Bakersfield.

The number “503” represents the sub-group of MS-13 and is the telephone country code for El Salvador.

The murder of rival gang members is prevalent and so is the murder of those who appear to be on the side of the law.

One of the alleged murders was that of a  rival gang member who reportedly defaced MS-13 graffiti. Six alleged killers took the victim to the Angeles National Forest, which falls under federal jurisdiction. There they “hacked him to death with a machete and one of the defendants allegedly carved out his heart before throwing the body parts into a canyon.

Four of the killings were alleged to have occurred in the same manner.

Officials are saying that the murders were so “heinous, cruel or depraved” that the defendants are eligible for the death penalty. Prosecutors have not said whether they intend to seek capital punishment.

Here is a video on the arrests:

President Trump has been noted as calling the gang members “monsters” and I agree with that description.

It does take a certain kind of ‘stupid’ to not see that the makeup of these gangs are murderers. They kill innocent as well as, not so innocent people. They are a danger to where ever they are situated. They crossed the border illegally and they are here to kill anyone who they feel like murdering.

Planned Parenthood Loses Funding for Abortion Referrals

by Daveda Gruber:

The unborn are getting support from President Trump’s administration. Taxpayer dollars will no longer go to fund abortion referrals.

The Trump administration was being sued by the largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood,  along with 20 states and the District of Columbia.

Back in February, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), revamped the rules from diverting Title X family planning funding by prohibiting recipients from using the funds to “perform, promote, refer to, or support abortion as a method of family planning.”

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, which has two new judges who were appointed by Trump, rejected the plea.

Planned Parenthood tweeted, “This is a devastating blow to the 4 million patients who obtain birth control, cancer screenings, and other essential care through Title X.”

See tweet here:

Clinics were notified by the Trump administration that they will begin to enforce the ban on abortion referrals and will also a require that clinics maintain separate finances from facilities that provide abortions.

Needless to say, the pro-life movement, which opposes abortion, is very happy with the Trump administration’s handling of this matter and the court’s decision.

This is all within the law as it stands. All that the administration did was enforce the law.

Going into effect next year, abortion facilities will not be able to be under the same roof as family planning clinics.

It has always boggled my mind as to how an abortion is actually planning a family. It isn’t. An abortion murders a baby who would have become a part of a family.

The time has come for women and yes, even men, to realize that abortion is not a form of birth control. Controlling the desire to have a baby, should come before conceiving a child. There are many forms of birth control out there for women to choose.

Also, a choice to abstain is always there for women and men not wanting to use protection to prevent pregnancy. If you play with fire, expect to get burned. That is comparison works in any walk of life.

I had elaborated on my opinion when I responded to a couple of  LifeNews.com Tweets. You can see them here:

Around four million women are served from Title X funding of private clinics. About forty percent of those clinics are operated by Planned Parenthood. Around $260 million a year is provided to the clinics.

Do you want to pay for the murder of babies, as in abortion? Me neither. My request has been granted.

When Did ICE Raids Begin?

by Daveda Gruber:

Raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) that were scheduled to begin on Sunday may have begun on Saturday in New York City.

The ICE raids in New York City took place in parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan late on Saturday and continued into the wee hours of Sunday morning according to New York’s Mayor Bill de Blasio.

The Democratic mayor is against the raids and inevitable deportations or imprisonment has said his city would not cooperate with ICE.

The mayor took to Twitter and tweeted this:

The ‘fake news’ media may have been citing the story as “raids on undocumented immigrants” but ICE has other ideas about their intentions. They have been firm in that their intentions are to target those already known to be criminals with criminal arrest records or have been put on a list as having not reported for hearings that were set in place.

Illegal immigrants are being coached on their rights, including instructions not to respond if agents knock on the door unless shown a warrant signed by a judge.

Illegal immigrants in major cities all over the U.S. are being coached on how to respond.

Here is a video from XPIX CBS San Fransico Bay Area:

The acting of Customs and Border Protection, Mark Morgan said, “This is about the rule of law,” Morgan said. “Those individuals who remain here illegally, especially those who’ve received due process more than any other nation in the world would provide someone that came here illegally, to including those with final orders, that there are consequences to those that remain here illegally. That’s what today is about. ”

Ten cities are being targeted but authorities will go where their investigations lead, even if it’s five states away from where the case is filed.

President Trump said, “It starts on Sunday and they’re going to take people out and they’re going to bring them back to their countries or they’re going to take criminals out, put them in prison, or put them in prison in the countries they came from.”

Administration officials have said they are targeting about 2,000 people, which would yield about 200 arrests based on previous crackdowns.

Trump has said on Twitter that his agents plan to arrest millions of immigrants in the country illegally.

Here is what Trump tweeted about the raids:

My own views tend to fall on the side of our president and ICE. Illegal means what it says; it is against the law.

If a person is not guilty of breaking the law of the land, they have nothing to fear from those enforcing the law. On the other hand, there are quite a few people living in this country, who are worried.

Did AOC Call Pelosi a Racist?

by Daveda Gruber:

The ‘race card’ was played by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY, on Wednesday. The freshman congresswoman pulled out her ‘ace in the hole’ and showed her hand to Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi.

AOC hit Pelosi hard, suggesting that she was “singling out” herself and her colleagues based on their race.

Congress passed a border funding bill that four Democratic Congresswomen opposed. That caused a feud that has been festering between Pelosi and the four opposing freshmen representatives who are, Ocasio-Cortez, Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., and Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass..

Pelosi had told the New York Times, “All these people have their public whatever and their Twitter world, but they didn’t have any following. They’re four people, and that’s how many votes they got.”

On Wednesday, Ocasio-Cortez told The Washington Post that the “persistent singling out” by the Speaker may be more than “outright disrespectful.”

AOC went on to say, “When these comments first started, I kind of thought that she was keeping the progressive flank at more of an arm’s distance in order to protect more moderate members, which I understood.”

She continued, “But the persistent singling out … it got to a point where it was just outright disrespectful … the explicit singling out of newly elected women of color.”

On Tuesday Ocasio-Cortez had already said, in an earlier interview, that Congress was using women and minorities as “bargaining chips.”

She said, “When it comes to women of color in Congress, particularly the freshmen, it’s that we both have encountered and represent communities that have been auctioned off and negotiated off for the last 20 years. And we’re over it.”

AOC continued, “We see in these negotiations all the time— it’s like fighting for black communities or policies that help women. They’re bargaining chips. And they’re the first chips that are reached for in any legislative negotiations.”

Those comments have enraged Pelosi. On Wednesday, she slammed back with, “You got a complaint? You come and talk to me about it. But do not tweet about our members and expect us to think that that is just okay.”

There is apparently, a feud going on in the House of Representatives. The four progressives are not in alliance with Pelosi. They don’t listen to others who have been in government for a lot longer than they have been.

Some may say that this is appealing and that people should think for themselves and not just go along with the established Politian. Pelosi is more comfortable when she is in control of those around her and doesn’t like when she is put behind the eight ball.

The family feud in the Democratic party doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon. Pelosi and the group of four don’t seem to be on the same page. Is Pelosi out of touch with her own party? Maybe, she is.

Personally, I’m not taking sides. I don’t agree with either side. Let them bicker and waste their energy.

It is my opinion that when the unity in a party is destroyed, the power of that party is at stake. Look at the Republicans. The GOP has different views within it. There are Libertarians who have their own way of thinking and there are Republicans, in name only, who vote with Democrats often.

We, on the right, have witnessed lack of unity. The Democrats, however, were pretty much united. That is over now. Fighting within the same party never helped anyone. The right has narrowly avoided destruction because of it and now Democrats are the ones who are divided.
